Mr. Sassafrass Hinkle Dobody arrived at the Short Order Mail Stop every morning at 7:35 AM.  He would always open the door, walk across the room,  and then place his keys in the cash register.  Oscar looked forward to the sound of the keys landing in the drawer of the cash register.

Picture Number Four

Primary And Secondary Color

Oscar was a large box.  What made him special was that he could fit “anything” between his four walls.

“I could fit an elephant, a moose head or even an antique globe within my walls,” he thought.

Symmetrical Balance

“I could carry important papers in a safe or a prize winning saddle or an electric guitar from a band.  I could carry the costumes from a famous singer.”  Oscar spent every day dreaming of someday transporting an important item to an important city in the world.  “Maybe I will go to Paris, or New York or Hong Kong or London, England.”  He tried to talk to smaller boxes around him, but they all kept to themselves.

Picture Number Six

Oscar noticed that the smaller boxes didn’t stay very long in the store.  Mr. Sassafras Hinkle Dobody would bring in a small bundle every Thursday when he arrived at 7:35 AM.  Oscar noticed that by Wednesday all of the new boxes had been sent on their journey.  Oscar watched a lot of boxes come and go.  He waited and waited and waited for his turn.

Picture Number Seven

Texture

On August 17th, at 11:33, a little girl and her mother came into the Short Order Mail Stop.   They were looking for a box to send care packages to the soldiers across the ocean.  They spent several minutes looking at all the boxes.   “How about….."

What happens?  Do they buy the box and send items to the soldiers?  Do they buy another box?  Does Oscar get to leave the store?  You write the rest of the story.  Each page needs to be at least twenty five words, so, finish the story in seventy five words.  Add more if needed.
